Gail-GarrisanGail S. Garrisan is a professional director and acting teacher.  She was the Founding Artistic Director of City Theatre (Summer Shorts) and is currently the Director of Special Projects.  She has directed plays at venues throughout South Florida, as well as regionally.  Ms. Garrisan was an Asst. Professor at New World School of the Arts in Miami, for seven years, where she taught Acting and Directing.  She is on the faculty of Universal Acting in Plantation, where she teaches Monologue Presentation and Text Analysis for teens. She is also a Teaching Artist at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.  She also works with the Kravis Center to present Stage Awakenings, a showcase for young Adults.

Ms. Garrisan has a BA in Dramatic Literature and an MFA in Directing.  She studied Acting, Voice and Movement in NYC at HB Studio and Terry Schreiber Studio.  Ms. Garrisan has a three tier private coaching practice encompassing 1) Adult actors- both professional and returning, 2) Students preparing for high school, college and MFA auditions, 3) Business professionals, seeking to perfect presentation techniques.  Her workshops: Audition Techniques, Breath and Body Exploration and Monologue Building have been presented nationally, and each year at the Florida Profession Theatre Auditions (FPTAS).  She is a member of of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) gailsgarrisan@aol.com
