Elaine Peña was born in the Dominican Republic where she began her theatrical training at the age of nine at Centro de la Cultura in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She continued her education at Palacio de Bellas Artes of Santiago where she spent five years growing as a young actress. Elaine is a graduate of the Instituto de Cultura y Arte (ICA) in Santiago, Dominican Republic where she received a BA degree in Dramatic Arts.

After a brief spell in Law School, Elaine knew for sure her heart was set on the work of an artist and after moving to The United States, she found the University Center for the Performing Arts where she studied the Eric Morris Method with Gilda Pianelli as well as the Viola Spolin Technique, specializing in understanding the art of acting for children. Elaine is a mother of two teenage girls and has a passion for educating and guiding young children. She has been teaching children ages 3-17 in the South Florida area for the past 12 years.
