Mary O’Hara
Art Alchemist

YWartbioMary O’Hara is a creative artist, illustrator, and animal-lover who trained in classical painting methods as well as modern techniques involving illustration and graphic design. Mary has a BA in Psychology from the University of Miami, and a BS in Illustration from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.  While at the Art Institute, she was taught by one of the original art teachers of Yellow Wood:  Ms. Rocco.  It is her hope that she will be able to channel Ms. Rocco’s creative spirit and do her proud as she takes over the art class Ms. Rocco once taught.

Mary currently works in her studio and shows artwork in group shows and galleries throughout South Florida. She also creates custom, commissioned pieces for clientele across the United States.

She loves animals and wildlife, has two Cockatiels of her own, and looks forward to meeting the students and discovering the creativity that they will bring.
